Cover Reveal- Delete by Kim Curran

You know how much I love these books, where if you want, you can change a decision you made, even if it's not always for the best...
Anyway, Kim Curran's Shift was released December 2012 and Control was released last August (me: seriously??? How has the time gone past?)   And this August, DELETE is being released. And here's the cover.

Given Control's giant cliffhanger, and the firey colours  on the cover of this, I'm expecting big things from Delete!

I also like the way that the stakes seem to have gotten higher as the series progresses- look at the background- warehouse to modern city skyscrapery things to the Houses of Parliament.  Exciting.

Finally, did I ever tell you about Kim's other project, Glaze? No? Well, check it out here. It looks awesome.

I broke my book obtaining ban. I'm sorry, shelves. I got Undone by Cat Clarke. But it's ok if I read it in one day, and it's going back to the library tomorrow...right?

I got into Supernatural. It is now on my long obsession list. You may have noticed the sanity level of this book slowly slipping since the start of the year. Supernatural, and all the SuperWhoLock things that can also come from it, is a push down the hill.  I'm sorry.
I have some taglines to consider! Please carry on thinking of them, and I'll settle on one at the end of the month.

 News! We have a cover for book two in the Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo! I quite enjoyed The Gathering Dark (review here) and  I like the similarities between the cover for Siege and Storm a nd Shadow and Bone (the US title for The Gathering Dark).

There's going to be more Neil Gaiman in our lives!! He is a generally awesome man, even if some of his writing for little people is a bit... er.... no (my first encounter with him was Crazy Hair and that was just wrong wrong wrong). Anyway, Neil has a book coming called Fortunately, the Milk and it sounds really really cool. Oh, and Chris Riddell is a great illustrator.

There's going to be more Neil Gaiman in our lives! At some point. And more time travel. And more awesomeness. FOUR WEEKS TILL DOCTOR WHO SERIES 7 PART 2!!!!!

Cover Reveal- Sweet Legacy by Tera Lynn Childs

The Medusa Girls by Tera Lynn Childs.
I have been meaning to read this series since...forever. Because updating Greek myths with kickass characters is totally up my street.  I saw Sweet Venom around ages ago. And now the second one, Sweet Shadows comes out within the month. And now we have a cover for Sweet Shadows.

I love the way all three covers go together-using the light similarly and the family resemblence between the girls is clear and as a series, it works really really well.

Sweet Venom came September 2012.

Sweet Legacy will come September 2013.

Happy New Year and other Happenings

It's the Chinese New Year of the Snake. Happy New Year.  I will be celebrating with food. I can't think of any Chinesey books on my  TBR (unless you count  Scarlet, which I'm reading and enjoying, but the focus isn't on China), but if you're a manga fan, you should read Fruits Basket, a cute romcom with too much funny.

My textiles coursework kind of looks like a dress, and kind of doesn't. I've got all the parts for it now! And it's all sewed together (badly). Only a week and a bit more and then freedom... Oh, and apparently, I'm a witch because I've got the skulls from here on it. Hehe....

It was National Libraries Day yesterday. Me being someone who doesn't find out about these things until they're too late, didn't have a long eloquent post about how much I love my library and everything. But I will say that it is practically my second home, my school one is where I spend as many lunchtimes as possible, they always have a friendly atmosphere, and they give you access to such a wide range of things like books, worlds and educations, for so little money, and everyone should love them.

We have a cover for Zenn Scarlett by Christian Schoon! Vets and aliens...definitely one to check out. And the cover and skyscape is beautiful.

Tanya Byrne's book has a cover and title!  I'll definitely be reading Follow Me Down some day.

I've been good this week! I've been to the library and I have gotten nothing!!! My bookshelves are kind of happy.

I'm going to a writer's group thing. I can't go regularly, because I'm normally doing other stuff, but seeing as my club is cancelled today, I'll be going to it. And maybe skipping my club a bit more if I like this group. I have no idea what to expect because the poster was really vague. But anyway!

Thanks for all the suggestions. To be honest, I still want to go with Life's too short to read bad books/Twilight. But...I don't know. I think I might go synonym hunting for Bad.

I've been  reading lots of awesomeness this week! Pantomime, Scarlet, Alchemist of Souls, Witchcraft,  Pure. At some point, there'll be a LOT of gushing and fangirling. Warning in advance.

Cover Reveal-Copper Girl by Jennifer Allis Provost

This is the  first book of The Copper Legacy, a series that will be coming from Spence City.  It seems  to be a fantasy thing,  and I wonder how much the metal elements intersect with the  magic and various other things.  

The cover is really simple. I like the shade of purple/red they used, and the way the mark stands out. Looks like a book to watch!

The first book is one of the better indie books I've read...let's hope Witchcraft is just as good!

Cover to Cover- Reveal of Forgiven!!

Just noticed the cover of Book 3 in the Demon Trappers series....

LOOK!!!!


 I like the return of the model (I think it's the same girl....it looks like it...) and that tagline....I love. It's changed from the first two, which is good. It still looks like it's part of the series. And is still different. It's my favourite cover this series.




And I've just spent a post fangirling over just one cover....actually more the tagline. Still. Love this.
